Who are we and why........?

The Steering Commitee

We are rather uncomplicated persons – just like yourselves - who have gained a lot of experience from making a lot of mistakes, and at least some things good in many different parts of the world. We all know that there are thousands of exciting things waiting to be done, and we want you to participate in order to have exciting things to tell your grandchildren! We would of course also appreciate if you would help us find and execute new exciting ventures.

-.and why The Dilettante Society?
Today Dilettante is often referred to someone who is an amateur, but in the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary of Current English from 1976 it is defined as "One who dabbles in many things". However the original meaning from the Italian verb "dilettare" means to delight and that's the meaning we have gone for.
